Done-for-you marketing for independent hair stylists

You didn't go independent to spend your evenings guessing what to post.

You’re brilliant behind the chair. But building a website, setting up a booking system, and knowing what to post to get more clients? That wasn’t the job you trained to do.

That's what I help you with. Finding ways to make more from the clients you already have, knowing exactly what to post (so you no longer have to guess), and setting up a website, Google profile, and the booking system that bring the right clients to you.Built with you, not handed over as homework.

The chat is 20 minutes on where you're stuck. Nothing to prepare, and no obligation afterwards.

  • Fully remote, anywhere in the UK
  • Pay with Klarna
  • You own everything I build
An independent hair stylist at work in her studio

Ever thought any of these?

  • "I'm good at what I do. I just don't know where to start online."
  • "I thought I had to act like an influencer to get clients."
  • "I'll sort the website when it's quieter." (It's never quieter.)
  • "I'm answering DMs about prices at 10pm."
  • "I couldn't tell you exactly what I take home each month."
  • "I paid for a course. I know what I should be doing. I just haven't done it."
  • "Isn't that too basic to post?"

You went independent for freedom, not for a second job you never trained for.

With clients, you know exactly what to do. Marketing is a different job.

Behind the chair

  • You can tell what a client wants before she's finished explaining
  • You know exactly how to get her the result
  • She leaves happy, and she comes back

Behind the screen

  • You know you need a website, but not where to start
  • You're told to "post more", but not what to post or how to film it
  • You're not sure how to say why someone should pick you over the salon down the road
  • And there's never time to pull it all together

You trained to do hair, not to run a marketing department. Nobody taught you how to price for your time, what to film, or how Google decides who shows up nearby. So it gets pushed to the end of a long day, and then it doesn't happen.

That isn't laziness. Every hour you spend learning a new job is an hour you're not being paid for the one you're brilliant at.

Knowing what to do and getting it done are two different things. This is the getting-it-done part.

More followers aren't the quickest fix. Start with what's already in your diary.

Most stylists put it down to Instagram. It might be part of the answer, but it's rarely the quickest part. The quicker wins are usually closer to home: prices that haven't moved in years, regulars who'd happily refer a friend, products clients would buy if you mentioned them, and quiet days one message could fill.

£5 more on a £60 service you do 40 times a month is

£200 a month

Without one new client.

So that's where we start. Then we get clear on why clients pick you, and only then do we make it easier for new clients to find you.

What you'll have when we're done

Earn more from the clients you already have

  • Know what each service really earns you per hour, and what a regular client is worth
  • A price check you feel confident about
  • Referrals, rebooking, birthday messages and product recommendations, ready to go

Know why clients pick you, and what to post

  • A brand book built from your own clients' words
  • 30 days of posts planned from the questions clients ask you in the chair, with exactly what to film
  • A carousel template in your brand, so you never start from a blank screen

Be easy to find and easy to book

  • A website that sounds like you, with prices, location and booking in one place
  • Your Google profile set up, so people nearby can find you and see your reviews
  • Booking that works, so people book themselves instead of messaging you

And your evenings back.

Right now, someone near you is searching for what you do.

  1. 1
Search. "Balayage near me." "Hair extensions near me."
  2. 2
Compare. They look at the first few names, and rarely scroll far.
  3. 3
Check. Photos, reviews, prices and how to book.
  4. 4
Book. Whoever feels clearest and easiest.

If you're hard to find, or it's not clear how to book, they book someone else. And you never knew they were looking.

Google decides who appears where, so nobody can promise a ranking. A complete profile and a clear website put you in the running.

Found, Chosen, Booked. In the order that pays you back fastest.

We work backwards on purpose. It's like tidying the room before you buy new clothes.

  1. 1

    Booked and paid.

Make more from the clients and services you already have.

  2. 2

    Chosen.

Get clear on who you're for and why people pick you.

  3. 3

    Found.

Show up where people nearby are looking, and make booking easy.

Founding clients: 5 places at half price.

I'm taking on five founding clients while I shape this around what stylists really need. You get the full service. In return, I'll ask for your honest feedback and your before-and-after numbers.

Already have a booking system that works? Your Online Home is probably the better fit, so you don't pay for work you don't need.

Split your purchase into 3 interest-free instalments with Klarna. Or pay 50% to start and 50% once you've approved the work, before anything goes live.

Borrowing more than you can afford or paying late may negatively impact your financial status and ability to obtain credit. Subject to status. Ts&Cs and late fees apply.

Software subscriptions (booking system, Canva, website hosting) are separate and stay in your name. Bought the £27 toolkit? It comes off any package.

What's one regular client worth to you?

Example figures

One regular, coming back every six weeks, adds up fast. We work out your real figure together in your first session, so you can see what this is worth before you commit to anything else.

After the handover

Most of us do it when someone's beside us and put it off when they're not. Momentum helps you to keep it going, and to know what's actually working. A plan is only a guess until your clients respond to it, so we try one thing at a time, watch what happens, then keep what works and drop what doesn't.

Momentum, £250 a month.

A 30-minute call each month. We look at what worked on your social and what didn't, talk through your enquiries and bookings, and check how your money moves are going. Then I plan your next 30 days of content at a pace you can keep, with what to film. Includes everything in Care.

Care, £45 a month.

Your website and Google profile checked, kept up to date and fixed when something breaks.

No long contracts. Stop whenever you like.

How it works

About 2 to 3 hours of your time. I do the rest.

  1. 1

    Free 20-minute chat.

We talk about where you're stuck, and I'll tell you honestly which package fits, if any.

  2. 2

    Discovery session.

You talk, I ask the questions. About your clients, your services, your numbers and what you want more of.

  3. 3

    I build it.

Brand book, plan, website, Google, booking, depending on your package. Usually ready within 14 days of getting your photos, details and logins.

  4. 4

    Walkthrough and handover.

I show you everything, and you leave knowing how it all works.

  5. 5

    Keep going, if you want.

Momentum or Care, or carry on yourself, knowing I'm here if you ever need another helping hand.

From a stylist who's been there

"Lily brought everything back to basics and made it feel easier. I thought I needed to create content like an influencer, but she helped me focus on what would actually attract clients at this stage of my business. She created a roadmap, gave me ideas I had never considered and supported me step by step so it never felt overwhelming. I would honestly be lost without her."

Lily Brunning, smiling, holding a mug in warm sunlight

Hi, I'm Lily

I've spent over a decade in sales and marketing, including over five years in marketing leadership, where I built a marketing function from the ground up. Now I help small businesses find what's really holding them back. It's rarely where they think it is.

This service started with a close friend who's an independent hairstylist. She was brilliant behind the chair and stuck online. She'd paid for a course, been shown what to do, but still had to figure it out on her own and felt like she was constantly starting from scratch. We took it right back to the basics, looking at her clients, her prices, and the questions she gets asked every day. The result? More ideas than she knew what to do with.

As a single mum building a business of my own, I know what it's like to juggle everything and want the freedom to choose how you spend your time. That's what this is really about: getting to the point where you can finally say "it's working", and enjoy a day off without feeling guilty about everything the business still needs from you.

FAQs

Will this actually get me more clients?

I can't promise a number, and I'd be wary of anyone who does. What I can promise is that we start with the clients you already have, so the first wins don't depend on becoming a content creator and getting thousands of new followers. You'll know your numbers before and after, so you can see what's changed.

I already use Fresha (or Booksy, or Treatwell). Do I need a website?

Keep using it. Your page there sits next to everyone else's. Your website tells people why to choose you, then sends them to book where you already take bookings.

I'm not techy. Will I be able to use it?

Yes. I set it up and walk you through it. If you'd rather not touch it, the Care package option keeps it running for you.

I don't know what or how to film.

Your plan tells you what to film in each appointment. And you don't need to be a pro at filming. We'll run through the basics. Real is better than polished these days anyway.

I've already paid for a course.

Then you already know a lot. This is the part a course can't do: it gets done.

Can I pay in instalments?

Yes. Split your purchase into 3 interest-free instalments with Klarna. Or pay 50% to start and 50% when you've approved the work.

Borrowing more than you can afford or paying late may negatively impact your financial status and ability to obtain credit. Subject to status. Ts&Cs and late fees apply.

You're not a hairdresser. How will you know what my clients want?

I won't have to guess. We ask your clients, and their answers shape everything. My job is turning what they say into a message, a plan and a website.

What if I don't like it?

If your brand book doesn't feel like you, I'll redo it. Nothing else gets built until it does.

Where are you based?

I work with stylists anywhere in the UK. Everything happens online, which is part of why it costs less than an agency.

Who owns everything?

You do. Your website, Google profile and booking account are in your name.

Do you film my content?

No, you do, because the work happens in your chair. Your plan tells you exactly what to film for each suggested content idea.

What will it cost to run each month?

My fee is one-off. Some tools have their own costs, such as your booking system, website hosting or a paid Canva plan. I'll show you what you need, and what you don't, before we start.

What do I need to get started?

Your links, your services and prices, any photos and logo you have, and the questions clients ask you most. You don't need the words ready. That's my job.

Rather do the marketing yourself?

The Found, Chosen, Booked toolkit walks you through the same method, step by step, with a guide, workbook, pricing planner and AI prompts. £27, and it comes off any package if you change your mind.

Let's get your marketing working, so you can get back to the chair.

A free 20-minute chat. No pressure, no hard sell. If it's not right for you, I'll say so.

Tell me a little about you and where you're stuck. I'll read it before we speak, so the chat is about your business from the first minute.

A sentence or two is plenty, for example a quiet diary, not knowing what to post or no website.
